To that effect, he lodged a complaint with the Inspector-incharge of Bally P.S.
on 11.09.2024 against the customers of the Bank of India, Bally Bazar Branch and some of the staff of the said branch of Bank of India.
According to the petitioner, no
steps have been taken by the officers of Bally Police Station and, being aggrieved, he has approached this court for appropriate action being taken against the erring customers and the bank officials.
Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report, wherein, it reflects that an enquiry has been conducted by the Inspector-in-charge of Bally P.S.
The learned advocate for the respondent nos. 5 and 6 submits that since the Internal Complaint Committee is dealing with the issues, till date, the bank has not proceeded further in respect of the low quality gold, which was seized by the petitioner and in respect of which funds were disbursed to one of its customers.
I have considered the report of the Inspector-in-charge of the Bally P.S., who at the concluding paragraph has
noted that he submitted a report to the Assistant Commissioner of Police-II, North Division, Howrah City Police.
In view of the report so submitted, the Assistant Commissioner would take a decision whether any cognizable offence has been made out and, thereafter, proceed in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observations, WPA 23782 of 2024 is disposed of.
