Learned advocate appearing for the state has submitted a report which reflects pursuant to the earlier directions so passed Amherst Street PS Case No. 155 dated 30.11.2024 under section 79/3(5) BNS has been registered for investigation.

In view of the police case being registered an investigation of the case is in progress and the petitioner complains that there have been certain materials which are in the possession of the daughter of the petitioner who is victim of the circumstances,

which she intends to place on record. I direct that if the petitioner intends to exercise such discretion, necessary permission may be taken from the learned ACJM, Calcutta who is in seisin of the matter. The investigating agency would address the grievance of the victim and take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. Report so submitted by the state be kept with the record.

Learned advocate appearing for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has submitted a report. Let the same be kept with the record.

Learned advocate for the KMC would hand over a copy of the report to learned advocate for the petitioner as well as the respondent nos. 8 & 9. With the aforesaid observations WPA 23713 of 2024 is disposed of.
