Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner/husband had demanded a motor bike. As the demand was not met, victim housewife was tortured. She suffered unnatural death within two and half years of marriage. Under such circumstances and in view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Supratim Bhattacharya, J.)
