Petitioners have submitted a representation on or about 13th June, 2025 to the Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Principal Secretary, Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education, Government of West Bengal as well as the Officer-inCharge, Margram Police Station, Birbhum. The grievance of the petitioners is that in compliance with the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Writ Petition (C) No.566 of 2024 the petitioners are not allowed to discharge their duties in Margram High Madrasah.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that on 13.06.2025 the Secretary of West Bengal Madrasah Commission, President of West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education, Joint Secretary of Minority Affairs,

Madrasah Education Department, BDO, Bolpur Sriniketan Development Block, SDO, Bolpur SubDivision, S.I. of School, Bolpur, West Bengal Circle proceeded at the Madrasah for the purpose of inspection of various matters of the Madrasah wherein the concerned Officer-in-Charge of the police station accompanied them with force.

I do not find any relationship between the prayers advanced in the writ petition for resuming their duties with the representation which was advanced before the Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal and the Principal Secretary, M.A.& M.E., Government of West Bengal. The Officer-in-Charge is in no way responsible for resumption of duty in school. If the concerned department allows the petitioners to perform their duties in school, then only the Officer-in-Charge of the police station can aid the petitioners. In such circumstances, petitioners will produce their necessary permissions to the police authorities thereafter the police authorities will act in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 23437 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
