We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show that the petitioner, who is the mother-in-law of the victim housewife, subjected her to torture. As a result she suffered unnatural death within two months of marriage. The petitioner had absconded and warrant, proclamation and attachment has been issued against her.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to her.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. The application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M. (A) 4930 of 2022 is disposed of.
