It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is the brother-in-law of the victim. There was a dispute between them. As a result, he was falsely implicated.

Learned Lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show that the petitioner had assaulted the victim who had to be hospitalized.

In view of the nature of the offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. The application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M. (A) 4941 of 2022 is disposed of.
