And In the matter of: Soumitra Halder and another ....Petitioners Ms. Juin Dutta Chakraborty ...for the Petitioners Mr. Arijit Ganguly, Mr. Sanjib Kr. Dan ...for the State The petitioners renew their prayer for bail.

Prayer for bail was rejected earlier on merits. Trial is in progress. Assessment of evidence of the witnesses is required to be done in the backdrop of other evidence, which is proposed to be led by the prosecution.

Hence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
