1. All the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties to this revisional application are present.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State has submitted a report in compliance with the order dated 8th August, 2025 along with a statement of de facto complainant/opposite party no.2 herein recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Corresponding to Section 180 of BNSS). The report along with the statement of de facto complainant be kept with the record.

3. Both the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners as well as opposite party No.2 conjointly submitted that the dispute between the parties has already been settled amicably and all the cases filed by

and between the parties are going to be withdrawn.

4. The instant revisional application has been filed with a prayer for quashing of the proceeding in connection with G.R. Case No. 324 of 2023 corresponding to Lake Town Police Station Case No. 54 of 2023 dated 04.04.2023 under Section 498A/ 406/ 506/ 313/ 34 of the Indian Penal Code which was initiated on a complaint addressed to Lake Town Police Station alleging, inter alia, that the de facto complaint/opposite party no.2 herein was subjected to physical and mental torture along with other allegation of dowry demand.

5. Both the petitioners as well as de facto complainant/opposite party No.2 filed joint application being CRAN 2 of 2025 stating the factum of settlement between the parties and prayed for quashing of the proceeding against all the petitioners.

6. Considering all facts and circumstances particularly the statement of de facto complainant recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Corresponding to Section 180 of BNSS) as well as averment of the joint petition, I find hardly any scope to stand in the way of settlement and further continuation of the proceeding would only be an abuse of process of Court.

7. As a sequel, the proceeding in connection with G.R. Case No. 324 of 2023 corresponding to Lake Town Police Station Case No. 54 of 2023 dated 04.04.2023 pending before the Court of Learned Additional Chief Judicial

Magistrate, Bidhannagar stands quashed.

8. With the aforesaid observation, the revisional application along with connected application stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings. 10.
