At outset, Mr.

Swapan Banerjee, learned Additional Government Pleader, submits that there were some

communication gap, as such, certain submissions were advanced before this Court on behalf of the State in respect of the New Town Police Station and its officers.

A report has been submitted on behalf of the State. The report encloses documents along with certain contentions regarding steps taken by investigating officer of the case.

07/ADGP(L&O)/PERS.II/PERS.II18/23 dated 08.01.2025, the Inspector-incharge of New Town Police Station is closed to the police headquarters of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.

In view of the State having taken steps, no further order(s) need be passed so far as the officers of New Town Police Station is concerned.

The report also reflects that State has prayed for cancellation of bail, which is pending before the learned CJM, Barasat, North 24 Parganas.

Moreover, several witnesses including the medical officer who treated the petitioner as well as other witnesses have been recorded under Section 180 of the BNSS.

As the police authorities presently are sincere in taking steps, the primary reason for approaching this Court, at this stage, seems to be subserved.

The investigating officer, as is reflected in the report, will take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

In view of aforesaid observations, WPA 23838 of 2024 along

with WPA 24198 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Town Division, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate be kept with the record.
