27.11.2024 rc/ct.no.34 Item No.154 CRR No. 4083 of 2024 In the matter of : Ghanshyam Das Purohit .......Petitioner Mr. Avijit Ghoshal ...for the Petitioner Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the proceedings being C.S.No. 113500 of 2023 pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 9th Court, Calcutta, presently redesignated as the learned Judicial Magistrate, 9th Court, Calcutta, the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the matter. It appears from the record that upon cognizance of the complaint being taken, summons was issued upon the accused/opposite party by the learned Trial Court and due to his non-appearance before the Court warrant of arrest was issued.

The opposite party surrendered before the Court and obtained bail. On the date fixed for recording of plea, the opposite party was again found absent for which warrant of arrest was issued against him. The warrant of arrest is still pending.

hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party, in accordance with law. CRR No. 4083 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly.
