Mr. Saheb Banerjee ... for the petitioner Mr. Debjit Mukherjee ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against refusal of the WBSEDCL to provide a separate electricity connection at the subject premises.

It is an admitted position that there are private civil disputes between the petitioner and the original land owner of the premises. In fact, there is no document of title to show that the petitioner is the owner or has any legitimate right, title or interest in the premises.

On behalf of CESC Limited, it is submitted that though they have repeatedly attempted there are civil disputes in respect of the subject premises and the private respondents have prevented CESC from carrying out any inspection.

In view of the existing private civil disputes by and between the parties, the matter is referred to the concerned jurisdictional District Magistrate to adjudicate upon the disputes in accordance with law.

With the above directions, WPA 23479 of 2025 stands disposed of.
