Mr. Kundu, learned Advocate appearing for the Life Insurance Corporation of India submits that the writ petition has become infructuous as the grievance of the petitioner regarding withholding the release of the death claim has been redressed as the amount claimed has already been released by the corporation vide Cheque No.307614 dated 11th November, 2009 for a sum of Rs.52,500/-.

The writ petition, accordingly, stands dismissed as infructuous.
