1. Heard the learned Counsels for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had absconded for seven years. Thereafter he surrendered. In view of conduct of the petitioner and gravity of the offence involving gang rape, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
