The accused is charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. He is in custody for about 254 days. Investigation is complete. Charge-sheet has been filed on 24th April, 2022. Trial has not commenced.

There is nothing on record to show that the accused, if released on bail, would interfere with witnesses or evidence or flee from justice.

In those circumstances, this application for bail is allowed.

The petitioner will be enlarged on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two

sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranaghat, Nadia, on the following conditions:

1. The petitioner shall deposit his passport, if he has one, with the investigating officer,

2. He shall report before the said officer as and when summoned,

3. The petitioner shall not leave the limits of the district of Nadia where he resides without informing the I.C.,

4. He shall not intimidate the witnesses and/or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever, The application for bail [CRM (DB) 3662 of 2022] is, accordingly, disposed of.
