Mr. Kallol Kumar Basu, Md. Jannat ul Firdous ...for the Petitioner 23-09-2024 AKG Ct. 15 It is the grievance of the petitioner that a work order was issued in his favour for "supply of necessary materials for various MGNREGS works under Jasohari Anukha - II Gram Panchayat."

The petitioner alleges that though he had successfully executed the work and thereafter raised two bills totaling Rs. 29,79,700/- on January 27, 2022, and March 31, 2022, till date nothing has been paid to him by respondent no. 5. No one appears on behalf of the respondents.

In view of the above, I do not find any justification to keep this writ petition pending. Accordingly, I direct the Block Development Officer, respondent no. 5, Kandi Development Block to consider the representation of the petitioner dated August 16, 2024 appearing at page 28 of the writ petition for disbursement of the alleged due amount in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months

from the date of communication of this order. The petitioner shall be heard by respondent no. 5 in arriving at the decision.

Accordingly, WPA 23767 of 2024 is disposed of.
