Mr. Dilip Kumar Maity ...for the Petitioner Ms. Rupsha Chakraborty, Mr. Suman Singh ...for the State 11-11-2025 AKG Ct. 15 The petitioner is presently serving as the Secretary of Panchanan Gram Panchayat under Bishnupur-II Development Block, District South 24 Parganas. He submitted a prayer seeking inter-district transfer, which was forwarded by the concerned Block Development Officer to the Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, South 24 Parganas, by a letter dated July 19, 2021.

Subsequently, by another communication dated June 17, 2025, the said Block Development Officer, along with two other officials, again forwarded the petitioner's prayer for transfer-along with similar requests from two other employees-to the Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, South 24 Parganas, for further processing. Accordingly, following directions are passed:

In pursuance of the said communication, the Executive Officer shall forward the prayer of the petitioner to the Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development, for appropriate consideration within one month from the date

of communication of this order.

The Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development, shall accordingly consider the petitioner's prayer for interdistrict transfer in accordance with law and take a decision thereon within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 23818 of 2025 stands disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
