It is alleged that the petitioner's prayer seeking transfer on distance grounds is pending consideration at the end of the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Purba Medinipur.

Without entering into the merits of the petitioner's application, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the concerned DI of Schools to take a decision on the petitioner's application in accordance with the relevant rules at the earliest but positively within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 3.

If the petitioner's prayer is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the DI of Schools in accordance with law.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
