The petitioner is aggrieved by the trial in respect of G.R. Case No. 505 of 2011 proceedings on chargesheet no.21 of 2012 dated 27th January, 2012 filed by Amta Police Station.

The petitioner has made an application for discharge in the said proceedings.

It is ordered that the learned Judicial Magistrate, Amta shall take up the petitioner's application for discharge as expeditiously as possible and dispose of the same mandatorily and positively within a period of one week from date.

If the petitioner is not discharged, it is ordered that the trial in the matter be completed within a period of four months from the date of disposal of the application of discharge, if necessary.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
