The pradhan is present today before the court in answer to the Rule.

It appears that the construction has been found to be unauthorized by the gram panchayat and accordingly, the matter has been sent to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer as per Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act.

It is expected that the Sub-Divisional Officer shall take steps in accordance with law.

Under such circumstances, the contempt application is disposed of and the contempt proceedings are dropped. The Rule is discharged.

The personal appearance of the pradhan is dispensed with.
