The grievance of the petitioners is that they are unable to enter their own residence as they are threatened, harassed and humiliated by the private respondent nos. 8 and 9.

I have considered the subjectmatter of the dispute after hearing both the parties and I find that the dispute is

restricted between the petitioners who happen to be the parents and the respondent nos. 8 and 9, who happen to be the son and the daughter-in-law.

In view of the subject-matter of the case, I direct that the petitioners who claims that they have been thrown out of their residence, would report to Ramnagar P.S. at 11.00 am on 6th of October, 2024.

The Officer-in-charge/Inspector-incharge of the concerned P.S. will depute an officer of his/her choice and also videograph the smooth entry of the parents/petitioners at their residence, which is within the jurisdiction of the said P.S.

It is also directed that steps be taken by the Inspector-in-charge to ensure that the parents are not harassed or humiliated from 6th October, 2024 till 8th of November, 2024.

At least, a lady

Constable would visit the residence and ensure that the parents are residing safely without being humiliated or harassed.

Within the time period, as mentioned above, the petitioners would apply before the appropriate forum under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Act, 2007, if required for further directions.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 23164 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of.

Affidavit of service so filed be kept with the record.
