Petitioner is in custody for 225 days.
It has been brought to the notice of this Court the order which was passed in CRM (M) 1512 of 2025 wherein mother-in-law of the victim/deceased was granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court.
Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary and submitted that within one year of marriage the unfortunate incident happened and there are specific statements of the neighbours so far as the present petitioner is concerned. I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary and also the fact that similarly placed accused has been granted bail. Having regard to the same, I am of the opinion that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted. Accordingly, the petitioner namely, Sk. Rejjak Ali shall be
released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Purba Medinipore.
If on bail, the petitioner shall make himself available on each and every date before the learned trial court until and unless so dispensed by the learned trial court. Petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction without the leave of the learned CJM, Purba Medinipore.
Accordingly, CRM (M) 1816 of 2025 is allowed. Case diary be returned to the learned advocate appearing for the State.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
