The petitioner in the instant case is aggrieved by the act of the police authorities in not furnishing the particulars with regard to the case initiated against the petitioner.

Upon hearing the learned advocates this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose will be served by directing the parties to use affidavits.

This writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no. 3, the Superintendent of Police, Diamond Harbour Police District to treat this writ petition as representation of the writ petitioner before him and

decide the same by giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner either in person or through his learned advocate within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Thus, this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
