For the Petitioner Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the complaint has been filed against him under Section 13(f)/46A(b)/61 of the Bengal Excise Act and Sections 5/6 of the West Bengal Molasses Control Act and proceeding being sl. No. 160/2019 dated 13th September, 2019 corresponding to Excise Case no. 170E/2019 is pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tamluk, Purba Medinipur. Warrant of arrest has been issued against the petitioner vide order passed on 16th September, 2019. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Magistrate within two weeks from date.

If the petitioner surrenders before the learned Magistrate within two weeks from date and files an application for bail, the learned Magistrate shall deal with the same in accordance with law. Warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner vide order passed on 16th September, 2019 be stayed till 25th October, 2024.
