The petitioner is the single Assistant Teacher in the subject 'Sanskrit' at Tatkapur Shyama Vidyabhaban (HS) High School.

The application of the petitioner for general transfer under 'Utsashree Portal' on the grounds of illness of his wife and the distance between his residence and the school being more than 200 kilometers, has not been considered by the Authority for the objection raised by the Headmaster of the School.

Mr. Chattopadhyay, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the single teacher is not a bar in allowing the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer.

The Utsashree Portal is now under suspension. The learning process of the students of the school would obviously be affected if the only subject teacher is transferred, therefore the objection raised by the Headmaster of the School is sustained.

The petitioner is not entitled to the general transfer, as prayed for.

WPA 23335 of 2022 is dismissed without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
