Report dated 19.10.2023 submitted by Ms. Ratna Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the State be kept on record. Report encloses the statement and declaration of the opposite party no.2 viz. Marufa Bibi.

The said report reflects that the complainant/opposite party no.2 is now staying at her matrimonial home and as such, she do not intend to proceed with the criminal case. Having considered the report so submitted particularly the statement and declaration of the opposite party no.2 and the case arose out of matrimonial discord, I am of the view that for the larger interest of the society, the present criminal case being Kolkata Leather Complex Police Station Case No. 86 of dated 14.07.2019 along with the charge-sheet submitted therein would result in harassment of the present petitioners as well as the complainant. Accordingly, the same is quashed.

Thus, the revisional application being CRR 3736 of 2023 along with the CRAN 1 of 2023 is allowed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
