The petitioner is aggrieved by the mode and manner of investigation conducted by the Investigating Officer pursuant to the complaint lodged by him.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after prayer for anticipatory bail filed by two of the accused were turned down by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Hooghly, none of the accused has been arrested. Progress of the investigation is abysmally low. It appears that the case was registered on May 21, 2024. Investigation is going on at a very slow pace. Questioned documents were sent to the CID, West Bengal for verification and report is said to have been received. The mode and manner of investigation is far from satisfactory. The Commissioner, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate is directed to supervise/monitor the

investigation held by the Investigating Officer and take the same to its logical conclusion at the earliest. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
