Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner submits that her husband has been arrested in connection with a murder case and is in custody. A false complaint has also been lodged against her son who is absconding.

The petitioner seeks fair and impartial investigation of the case in order to identify the real culprits. She also seeks police protection so that she is able to reside in her house peacefully since her husband is in custody, her son is absconding and she is residing alone in her house. Learned counsel for the State submits that charge sheet has been submitted upon completion of investigation. On prayer of the petitioner liberty is granted to take necessary steps before the appropriate forum in the event she is dissatisfied with the investigation conducted by the

police authority. Also, the police authority is directed to render necessary protection/assistance to the petitioner in order to avoid any untoward incident and to maintain peace and tranquility in the area so that the petitioner is able to reside in her house without any fear. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
