Pursuant to the direction of this Court dated November 7, 2024, Mr. Nikhil Kumar Gupta, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits, that a sum of Rs. 6,00,000/- out of a total claim of Rs.30,85,986/- has already been deposited by the petitioners in favour of the respondent no.2 as a part payment. This factual submission has been confirmed by Mrs. Aparna Banerjee, learned counsel appearing for the Provident Fund Authority.

Learned counsel for the petitioners now prays for 16 instalments for paying the balance amount, that is the rest of the amount out of Rs. 30,85,986/- after deducting the sum of Rs. 6,00,000/- already deposited.

In view of the above, after considering the facts and situations, this Court directs the petitioners to pay the balance amount in favour of respondent no.2 positively by 8 numbers of equal monthly instalments commencing from February 1, 2025 and all the successive interest shall be paid on the first day of every succeeding months in the calendar year. In default of any such instalments, the Provident Fund Authority shall take all possible coercive measures in accordance with law against the organization and its concerned officers.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition, WPA 23974 of 2024 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs.
