For the DFCCIL On prayer of the petitioners liberty is granted to implead the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Chinsurah, Hooghly as respondent No. 9 in the writ petition.

Cause title of the writ petition be amended accordingly.

The innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for consideration of the representation submitted by them on 25th August, 2022 before the District Magistrate, Hooghly requesting release of fair compensation for the portion of the structure not acquired and compensation in terms of the market value of the acquired portion.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the 9th respondent be directed to consider the representation, in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 9th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 25th August, 2022 within two months from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioners, in accordance with law. In the event the petitioners are entitled to compensation, the same be disbursed in their favour within two months thereafter.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
