The petitioner has prayed for bail on the ground of his long detention without trial.

In view of the fact that commercial quantity of narcotic substance was recovered from the petitioner, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

The instant application is thus rejected.

However, as charge-sheet has been submitted and the next date is fixed for consideration of charge, the learned trial Judge is requested to expedite the hearing of the case as early as possible.
