1. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about 145 days. It is further submitted petitioner has been falsely implicated due to political affiliation. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

2. Learned Advocate for the State produces the case diary.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the minor states the petitioner had forcibly taken the victim near a pond and raped her. Thereafter the victim was forced to consume medicine and she became unconscious. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
