The petitioner complains of nuisance around her residence. Electricity to the petitioner has been manipulated. The petitioner also complains of violation of noise pollution norms. Loud music is being played around her premises into the late hours. Drug peddlers and users are roaming around the petitioner's premises. She has complained to the Park Street Police Station repeatedly on many occasions but in vain. Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has lodged as many as 23 complaints over the year. 16 of which have been registered as FIRs. There are also mass petitions submitted by the local residents against the petitioner for harassment. Let the investigation of the FIRs already registered by the Park Street Police by and against the petitioner be completed as expeditiously as possible. The O.C., Park Street Police Station shall ensure that any specific order of the Pollution Control Board is
enforced strictly. Roaming of the drug peddlers in and around the petitioner's premises or any part of the area must be put to an end as expeditiously as possible. The police shall maintain strict vigil on the petitioner's premises and ensure that there is no nuisance or breach of peace.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
