Mr. Kazi Sajjad Alam ...for the petitioner Dr. Sutanu Kr. Patra Ms. Supriya Dubey .........for the WBCSSC The petitioner participated in the selection process of SLST 2016 upper primary for being appointed in the post of Assistant Teacher.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner obtained training qualification (D.El.Ed.) in the year 2017.

According to the petitioner, though she acquired training qualification after the cut off date since she participated in the selection process and obtained D.El.Ed. qualification belatedly, such training qualification needs to be taken into consideration while appraising candidature of the petitioner.

Dr. Patra, learned counsel representing the Commission submits that the cut off date which was fixed for acquiring training qualification in connection with SLST 2016 upper primary was 24th February, 2016.

Therefore, according to the Commission

candidature of the petitioner cannot be considered and she is not to be adjudged as eligible candidate due to lack of training qualification on or before the aforesaid cut off date.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the fact that since the petitioner has not been able to acquire training qualification on or before cut off date, the petitioner is not the eligible candidate for being considered in the selection process of SLST 2016 upper primary; the writ petition stands dismissed.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs.
