And In Re : Deep Karar ........ petitioner Mr. Rajdeep Majumder Ms. Debjani Ghosal Ms. S Majumdar ...... for the petitioner Mr. R D Nandy Ms. Sonali Das ...... for the State Petitioner is in custody for 160 days. It is submitted he is a mere employee of the firm and was minor at the time of occurrence. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner was born on 5th September 2001 and cannot be said to be a minor at the time of commission of the offence. Statements of witnesses show petitioner in collusion with others had induced innocent persons to make deposits on the false promise of setting up mobile towers. He is party to an organized crime racket which duped innumerable innocent victims.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. (Partha Sarathi Sen, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
