The North 24-Parganas District Primary School Council, in the year 2009, had initiated a selection process for recruitment of Assistant Teachers in the primary schools of the district.

The petitioner had participated in the said selection process but was unsuccessful. However, in the year 2024, to know his score in the said selection test, the petitioner had resorted to the provisions of Right to Information Act, 2005, the information so sought for was supplied.

The petitioner is now alleging that the candidates who had scored lesser marks than him have been given appointment.

The selection process of 2009 was challenged in different writ petitions on several grounds, ultimately a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court on April 09, 2024 had passed an order in WPA 3268 of 2015 and other

similar writ petitions that the candidates of the said selection test who had filed writ petitions on or before March 31, 2024 would only be considered for the appointment.

The instant writ petition since has been filed much after the said cut-off date, besides the said selection process is complete, as such the prayer of the petitioner for appointment deserves no consideration, accordingly, WPA 24123 of 2024 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
