Learned advocate representing the applicants alleges violation of the order dated 24th June, 2025 passed on a batch of writ petitions.

It is submitted by Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate, representing the applicants that order was passed on 24th June, 2025 following ratio decided on other batch of writ petitions, first one being WPA 6695 of 2024 (Pampa Dutta Dhar & Ors. vs. Union of India & Ors.), vide order dated 13th June, 2025.

It is contended that in terms of the directions as contained in Pampa Dutta Dhar (supra), alleged contemnor is required to prepare a merit chart based on verification of testimonials of the candidates. Similar direction is applicable in case of the present

applicants in terms of the order passed by this Court on 24th June, 2025.

It is also submitted on behalf of the applicants that in terms of the order dated 24th June, 2025, documents of the petitioners were verified, but merit chart is not prepared, which prompted the applicants to approach this Court with the present contempt application.

On conjoint reading of the judgment and order passed in Pampa Dutta Dhar (supra) and order passed in case of the petitioners on 24th June, 2025 and taking note of the submission made on behalf of the applicants, it appears that order dated 24th June, 2025 is complied with, as applicants were permitted to get their testimonials verified in connection with selection process of 2022 for filling up of posts of primary teachers.

For preparation of comparative merit chart based on verification process, no time was fixed by this Court, vide judgment dated 13th June, 2025 passed in Pampa Dutta Dhar (supra). Therefore, even ratio of Pampa Dutta Dhar (supra) is applicable in case of the present applicants taking note of the order passed by this Court on 24th June, 2025, contempt application is not maintainable.

Hence, contempt application stands dismissed. 8.

However, this order shall not preclude the applicants to take steps in accordance with law relating to the selection process of 2022.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
