Learned counsel for the CESC Limited files a report where it is indicated that upon inspection the CESC Limited has found a technically suitable alternative service position at premises no. 41/H/1, Ekbalpore Lane, Kolkata - 700023. Since the said alternative location does not hamper the interest of the private respondents, there is no scope of any resistance by the private respondents on such score.

Accordingly, WPA No. 23288 of 2023 is allowed, thereby directing the CESC Limited to give new electricity service connection to the petitioner at the alternative location in terms of the report filed today within a fortnight from the date of compliance of all formalities by the petitioner.

The CESC Limited, for such purpose, shall raise a quotation within forty-eight hours.

In the event any obstruction is offered from any quarter, the CESC Limited will be at liberty to approach respondent no.3 herein, that is, the Officer-in-Charge, Ekbalpore Police Station who will provide adequate police assistance at the cost of the petitioner.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
