Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner alleges that in course of feeding stray dogs by the petitioner the private respondents raised objection and assaulted her. Complaints and general diary lodged by the petitioner were not acted upon by the police authority.

Learned counsel for the private respondents submits that the petitioner's dog tried to bite the 8th respondent's daughter and on protest being raised by the 8th respondent, altercation took place between the parties. The 8th respondent was severely assaulted and sustained grave injuries. A complaint was lodged by the 8th respondent

against the petitioner in retaliation to which several complaints have been lodged by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the State submits that the complaints lodged by the petitioner were registered as FIRs and charge sheets have been submitted upon completion of investigation. The police has held enquiry with regard to subsequent general diary lodged by the petitioner on September 14, 2025 and has found that the contents of the general diary have not been substantiated. Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf of the parties, this Court is inclined to hold that the petitioner is at liberty to take necessary steps before the appropriate forum in the event she is aggrieved by the charge sheets submitted or the mode and manner of investigation held.

In the meantime, the police authority shall render necessary assistance/protection to the petitioner in order to avoid any untoward incident and to ensure maintenance of peace and tranquility in the area.

Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
