1. The compass of the present writ petition is short. The petitioner claims that the petitioner did some work for the respondent-authorities. Subsequently, the entire bill of the petitioner was not paid. The petitioner places reliance on Annexure P-4 at page 35 of the writ petition, which is a letter dated December 27, 2021 issued by the Block Development Officer, Barasat-I, Development Block to the SubDivisional Officer, Barasat Sub-Division where the total bill amount of Rs.5,38,526/- was admitted.

2. Despite best efforts, learned counsel for the State could not, in the meantime, acquire appropriate instruction in that regard.

3. Be that as it may, even on merits, in view of specific admission by the State through its instrumentalities, as annexed at page 35 and indicated above, there cannot be any impediment in directing the State to disburse the due amount to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 23312 of 2023 is allowed, thereby directing the respondentauthorities to disburse the total bill amount of Rs.5, 38,526/- to the petitioner at the earliest, positively within November 17, 2023.

5. There will be no order as to costs.

6. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.
