In view of the investigation of the case having arrived at its finality, the petitioner would be at liberty to canvass any other grievance(s) before the learned jurisdictional court by invoking the powers

under Section 173(8) of the Cr.P.C.

The petitioner complains that he has been threatened. To that extent, if any application is preferred before the learned jurisdictional Court, the learned Magistrate, in seisin of the matter would pass necessary orders under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018 after calling for a report from the jurisdictional police station.

Let a copy of the report under Section 173 of the Cr.P.C. be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

In view of the purpose for which the petitioner approached this court having been subserved, further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 24119 of 2024 is disposed of.

Status report submitted by the CID, West Bengal be kept with the record.
