1. Affidavit of service filed by the private respondent be kept in the record.

2. The petitioner has filed a present application praying for grant of new service electric connection in the premises No.25/1 Kolkata - 700 082.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits there was an electric connection in premises of the petitioner but the same was removed and the security deposited amount was returned to the petitioner and subsequently the petitioner has applied for new service connection.

Learned Counsel for the respondent submits that on receipt of the application of the petitioner, the respondent tried to inspect the premises in question but could not be inspected due to the obstruction by the private respondent. He submits that from the official record it reveals that there is

existing service connection and thus no further new service connection can be provided to the petitioner in the premises but the authorities are ready to provide loop meter connection to the petitioner in the name of the petitioner.

4. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that if the authorities are not able to provide the new service connection, if the authorities are ready to provide new loop meter connection the petitioner has no objection.

5. In view of the circumstances mentioned above, CESC is directed to provide loop meter connection in the premises of the petitioner on compliance of all formalities at the existing meter board position.

It is made clear if the private respondent, their man, agent, servant obstruct the CESC for providing the loop meter connection in the premises in the existing meter board, the petitioner shall make appropriate complaint to the concerned police station and if any complaint is received by the concerned police station, shall provide appropriate police protection to the petitioner as well as CESC officials for providing loop meter connection in the premises of the petitioner and if any padlock is required to be opened, the petitioner shall open the padlock in presence of the police authority for grant of new loop connection in the premises of the petitioner and after getting the new loop connection in the premises, the petitioner new

shall put padlock in the service meter board room if any. All the cost shall be borne by the petitioner.
