This writ petition has been filed by an organisation, which is called Human Rights Initiative, stated to be a registered public charitable trust. The grievance of the petitioner is that in Rajnowagarh Primary Health Centre in the Chandra Gram Panchayat under Puncha Block, District-Purulia there is no doctor. It is rather unfortunate that the State Government has not taken adequate steps to depute required number of doctors and paramedical personnel in the said primary health centre which is the need of the hour.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would point out that in respect of another gram panchayat similar situation was prevailing and the present writ petitioner had filed a public interest litigation petition, being WP No.8010 (W) of 2015,

which was disposed of by the Hon'ble Division Bench on 24.05.2015 by issuing direction on the respondent authorities to ensure that adequate number of staffs are posted at the primary heath centre at Brazoballovpur Gram Panchayat and pursuant to such direction adequate number of staffs were posted in the said primary health centre. The authority, namely, the 1st and 2nd respondent should bear in mind that public interest litigants should not be seeking direction for filling up vacant posts in primary health centre. It is the duty of the State Government to ensure that the people of the State are provided good heath care.

Thus, considering the above facts and circumstances, there will be a direction on the respondents no.1 and 2 to immediately take steps to provide adequate number of doctors and support staff in the Rajnowagarh Primary Health Centre within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order. In the event, non-compliance of the direction, the matter will assume seriousness and adverse orders are likely to be passed against the offending parties.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
