The cause title of the writ petition be amended accordingly. Since the added respondents are represented, service of notice upon them is dispensed with. Report submitted by the State is taken on record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the complaint lodged by him before the police authority has not been registered as an FIR though it discloses cognizable offences. Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance on the authority in Lalita Kumari & Ors. Vs. Government of U.P. reported in (2014) 2 SCC, 1. It appears that the petitioner lodged complaint before the police authority on September 06, 2025.

The police authority shall register the FIR and in the event cognizable offence is made out, investigate the case in accordance with law.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
