And In the matter of : Subhankar Debnath & Anr.
......Petitioners.
Mr. Debasish Kar Mr. Arka Tilak Bhadre Mr. Hussain Mustafa Ms. S. Perveen Ms. Paramita Mukherjee ......for the Petitioner.
Mr. Joydeep Roy, Jr. Govt. Adv.
Ms. Afreen Begum ......for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits petitioner happens to be Khalashi/helper of the vehicle from where there has been recovery of contraband and the petitioner is in custody since 28.08.2024.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the records collected reflect that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle.
Having considered that the Hon'ble Supreme Court has granted one year time to an accused who has preferred an
application for concluding the trial, I am of the view the same principle would apply to the present case.
Having considered that there has been recovery of 27,600 bottles of Phensedyl, CRM (NDPS) 1232 of 2025 is dismissed.
