And In Re : Rafiqul Piyada @ Rafikul Piyada @ Rafiqul Peada @ Rafikul Peada .... petitioner Mr. Ayan Basu Mr. Sandip Kumar Mondal Mr. Sumit Routh ....for the petitioner Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherji, learned PP Mr. Partha Pratim Das Mrs. Manasi Roy ...... for the State Heard the learned Counsels appearing for the parties. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. Statements of witnesses show victim was a housewife and was subjected to torture over demands of dowry. She suffered homicidal death within four months of marriage. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

We direct the trial court to take prompt steps to commit the case to the court of sessions and sessions court shall take the proceedings to its logical conclusion without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
