1. We have heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 2.

Considering the materials available in the case diary, the statements of the Manager of the Cooperative and other witnesses who are inextricably connected with the accounts, showing that there was a defalcation of a sum in excess of Rs.24 lakh during the period when the present petitioner was in charge and in view of the fact that the petitioner was absconding for last two years for which the charges could not framed, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the present petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Soumen Sen, J.) (Uday Kumar, J.)
