I have perused the report filed in the sealed cover before this Court signed on 27th January, 2023 by the Director of Local Bodies, West Bengal & Ex-Officio Joint Secretary to the Govt. of West Bengal, U.D. & M.A. Department.

It appears therefrom that the department has decided to accord approval to the appointment of Sudip Saha i.e. the petitioner herein to the post of Store Keeper under the Chakdaha Municipality.

The Workflow Based Tracking System, FinanceGroup- P-2 has been enclosed with the report. It appears that the finance department has mentioned that they do not have any objection to the proposal for filling up the post of Store Keeper by candidate already selected through recruitment examination conducted by the Municipality.

The Director of Local Bodies, West Bengal & ExOfficio Joint Secretary to the Govt. of West Bengal,. U.D. & M.A. Department is directed to forward a copy of the decision placed before this Court along with the Finance Department's observation to the Chakdaha Municipality at the earliest.

As it appears that the Director of Local Bodies after obtaining the concurrence of the Finance Department has already taken a decision to accord approval to the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Store Keeper under Chakdaha Municipality, accordingly, necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the Municipality in this regard at the earliest, but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
