The grievance of the petitioner is simple.

The petitioner sought to obtain information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 but the same not being given by the SPIO, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the respondent no.2 which has been kept pending for some time.

Despite service of notice, none appears for the respondents.

4.

The affidavits-of-service filed today be kept on record.

5.

In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer, further service is not being directed on the respondents.

WPA 23397 of 2023 is disposed of by directing respondent no.2 to dispose of the pending appeal filed by the petitioner before it as expeditiously as possible, positively within eight weeks from the date

of communication of this order to the said respondent in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
