Chowdhury ..... for the de facto complainant Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits he is in custody for 154 days. It is also submitted that the allegation of throwing acid is out and out false. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim housewife is supported by the medical evidence collected during investigation.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail is, thus, rejected.
