The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that even after submission of the charge-sheet in connection with Titagarah Police Station Case No.137 of 2019 dated 09.03.2019 only two dates are fixed per year and the complainant is unable to foresee any progress in the case.

I have perused the order-sheet and I find that the anxiety expressed by the de-facto complainant is not unjustified. Having considered such contentions, I direct the learned ACJM, Barrackpore that the next date is fixed on 20th January, 2024 and on the said date, copies must be served upon the accused persons. If the accused are not present within a fortnight from the said date the learned trial court would ensure the supply the copies. If learned trial court feels that it would continue with the proceedings, he would at liberty to proceed with the case. If learned trial court feels he would transfer the case to the learned Judicial Magistrate. Immediately records be transmitted to the learned

Judicial Magistrate. The Judicial Magistrate in seisin of the matter by 15th March, 2024 would consider the charges in connection with the instant case. The learned trial Court would fix at least one date in every forty five days so that the trial of the case after consideration of the charges if any can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3796 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. Certified copy of the order be kept on record. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
